JERRY MATOMBÉ
BIO
Jerry Matombé is a Mauritian singer-songwriter. In 2009, his interest in music came from watching TV shows, and he started learning to play the guitar. As soon as he knew a few chords, Jerry started writing his own songs at the age of 15 and, with his friends, formed a band.
In 2012, he met with Samuel Ittoo at his new college, with whom he formed the alternative rock band The Rescued. Unfortunately, they became inactive after school.
Years later, Jerry decided to pursue a solo career and released Mwa Mo Rouz Ble Zon Ver in 2018, a fusion of seggae and rock music.
Jerry also contributed original music to the movie Chagos Nou Leritaz which was a challenge as he had never written about such a serious theme.
However, his melancholic self-storytelling Lamour, made his career blossom in 2021, as it opened many doors and helped him take his first steps in sega music.
